US Attacks Iran’s Nuclear Sites, Iran Retaliates with Missile Strikes on Israel – Global Tension Rises

New Delhi, June 22, 2025:
Amid rising tensions between the US and Iran, a major development has emerged today. The United States has carried out large-scale airstrikes on three of Iran’s key nuclear sites. The US Air Force deployed B-2 bombers and dropped thousands of kilograms of bombs in the operation. According to reports, at least six bombs targeted Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility, with approximately 15 tons of explosives used. Iran has confirmed the attack but claims that its nuclear sites have not suffered significant damage.

US President Donald Trump addressed the nation, warning Iran to immediately halt its activities or face further large-scale attacks. Trump described Iran as the biggest sponsor of terrorism in the Middle East.

Iran has called the US attack a violation of international law and has demanded an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council. Iran’s Foreign Minister has urged all UN member states to condemn the US action.

In retaliation, Iran has launched a large-scale missile attack on Israel. The Iranian military fired at least 25 missiles at ten different locations in Israel, including Tel Aviv and Haifa. The strikes have destroyed several buildings and left hundreds injured. At least 24 people have been confirmed dead so far. Israel attempted to intercept the missiles, but several still managed to hit their targets.

The ongoing conflict has also impacted international air travel. At Hyderabad’s Shamshabad Airport, a British Airways flight has been halted, and passengers have been advised to check their flight status before traveling.

Experts warn that this series of events could escalate tensions worldwide and, if continued, could lead to a state of war. Several countries, including India, have advised their citizens to remain vigilant.
